In Song of the Iris, Palombo uses vibrant color and animated brushwork to suggest the rhythmic energy of irises in bloom. “In this piece, I was thinking about rhythm—the way the irises seem to sway together, almost like music moving through the garden.”
“Song of the Iris” was inspired by and will be exhibited at the world’s largest public iris garden, Presby Memorial Iris Gardens.
